A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, I am a creative writer/director, content creator and all-around digital media production professional working within the branding, marketing and advertising side of new media.
My Story
I consider myself a storyteller at heart. After graduating with honors from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Film and Digital Media Production and a minor in Literature, I moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in filmmaking and screenwriting. Within my first year in LA I co-created the concept for an original series, wrote the pilot, acquired a Literary Manager and pitched to major networks and production companies, including Showtime, HBO, and FX. Simultaneously, I was working as an on-set Production Assistant on studio movies for Paramount Pictures and Walt Disney Studios, and editing the extended cut of my film school senior project, which I soon after pushed through the indie film festival circuit.
Across the next five years I continued to work in production as a studio-level PA for mainstream Hollywood feature films, as well as a freelance Assistant Director; running sets for national ad spots and major commercials for clients including Wrigley's, Mattel, LG, Subaru and Epic Records. I've had the privilege to work directly with the late acclaimed film director Penny Marshall (Big, A League of Their Own) as a Story Producer for her documentary feature film Rodman Rebound about the life of controversial NBA star Dennis Rodman. All along I’ve continued to write feature film screenplays and freelance as a story analyst and screenwriter’s assistant to writer/directors for a number of feature film projects - one of which delivered under a first-look deal with Stuber Pictures at Universal Studios. Past clients include Don Most (ABC's Happy Days), David Howard (Galaxy Quest) and Trent Cooper (Father of Invention). I continue to develop, produce and direct digital media content as a freelance contractor.
After writing and releasing my debut studio album as an original singer-songwriter, I spent most of 2015 aggressively touring the album across California, playing the stages of some of California's most prestigious music clubs, achieving airplay on nationwide radio and ultimately reverse-engineering the new music industry by necessity. That experience gave me a well-rounded knowledge for the contemporary small-business marketing model, and how to apply it to any industry.
In 2016 I returned home to Northern California to the majestic wine country of Sonoma Valley where I’ve since built my own small business aimed at creatively capturing and elevating brands through promotional new media content. It has continued to grow into a boutique, full-service production company offering a variety of production services and media solutions for small businesses in the Bay Area.
